Let's shave the planet

Zero waste products can seem expensive and in some cases they are. However, if you look into to the costs long term, it usually works out to be cheaper. This is definitely the case with safety razors. If you aren't sure what they are, these are razors that allow you to remove and replace the blades if/when necessary.

The best part is that they are completely metal! I bought mine last year and have changed the blades only two or three times which shows how efficient they can be. It may be a little expensive to buy however in the long run, it saves you a lot of money on buying razors and reduces plastic waste! They are really easy to use and work just as well as regular razors. I know when I first bought mine I was quite nervous and binged many YouTube videos to make sure I did nothing wrong. However, as per the usual, I was over-thinking it all and it turned out to be just fine. But it was certainly reassuring to watch the videos which explained how to use it and how to dispose of the old blades.

I personally keep the used blades in a metal container which I will eventually take to a local recycling centre. Before I do take it there I need to label the tin so people know what's inside otherwise that will be quite dangerous.

There are many places to get them online at different prices so just type in safety razors and see what you can find.
